Your documents never reach us. A PDF you open is read, changed and saved inside your own browser. No copy is uploaded, and we have no way to see it. There is no server-side copy of your document to store, lose or hand over.

What we hold: the billing identifiers Stripe returns for a subscription (a customer id, a subscription id, an email address and a payment status), and any messages you send us. We never see card numbers — those go to Stripe directly.

Data lives on servers provided by Fly.io (US (Virginia)) with the database on an encrypted-at-rest volume; payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. One session cookie, if we set one at all; no analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party embeds, and the tool asks no other host for anything while you work.

Records are kept while the account is open and deleted within 30 days of cancellation on request; backups age out within 7 days. Requests to see, correct or delete what we hold go to support@textlayer.co.
